Shop Floor Support (Operations & Coordination) - Internship

Position Title: Shop Floor Support Intern

Department: Operations / Manufacturing Support

Duration: 12 months (with intent to confirm as permanent based on performance)

Location: Manufacturing Shop Floor

Reporting To: Production Manager

Role Objective:

The Shop Floor Support Intern will act as a coordination and support role between production, QC, stores, and planning teams. The objective is to improve visibility, discipline, and execution on the shop floor, while grooming the intern for a future operations or manufacturing support role.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support daily shop floor coordination across machining, assembly, testing, and dispatch.

· Track job cards, priority orders, and urgent requirements.

· Assist in material movement coordination between stores and production.

· Support QC coordination for inspection and testing activities.

· Help maintain shop floor discipline, visual controls, and basic 5S practices.

· Update daily production and status reports.

· Flag delays, shortages, or execution issues to supervisors.

· Support audits, internal reviews, and data collection exercises.

Learning & Exposure:

· Real-time shop floor operations and coordination challenges.

· Understanding of production flow, material movement, and execution control.

· Exposure to quality processes, inspections, and documentation.

· Strong foundation in operations management.

Desired Profile:

· Engineering graduate (Mechanical / Industrial / Production).

· Comfortable working on the shop floor and interacting with technicians and supervisors.

· Basic Excel knowledge is required.

· Based on performance, interns may be confirmed as Operations Executive / Manufacturing Support Engineer.
